Event Details: It's a Beethoven Festival! This time, Music Director Nathalie Stutzmann and the acclaimed Atlanta Symphony Orchestra show opposite sides of this watershed composer: Beethoven the tempest and Beethoven the humorist. It's hard to argue with the enduring popularity of the stormy Fifth Symphony; it grabs you by the collar and keeps you riveted from start to finish. But the same composer, that scowling, hotheaded genius portrayed in 19th-century paintings, imbued his Second Symphony with genial wit and good cheer. Savor the lesser-known Second Symphony side by side with the rocket-fueled Fifth. And leave the concert hall with a tune in your heart.
Additional Information: Seats are truly great $55 seats, middle orchestra right, which are provided to us for $20 per seat through the ASO’s community ticketing program. When you register for an ASO event, a ticket is purchased in your name, and you are required to reimburse Paul Hinson for the $20/ticket cost of your ticket(s) the evening of the performance. Cash is accepted in the exact amount. Electronic transfers and payments (Zelle, cash app, etc.) are NOT accepted.
Registrations can be canceled ONLY 5 days or more before the event. (To cancel a reservation, go to your profile and select "My event registrations.") If due to unforeseen circumstances you are not able to use your ticket, you must still reimburse Paul for the purchase price of your tickets.
Parking: Free parking is available in the Ansley Park neighborhood along 15th street on weeknights—you’ll see neighborhood parking decal sticker requirements on parking signs but most of those signs will indicate that neighborhood stickers are not required weekday evenings before 10PM. Parking is also available in the arts center garage, or in any of several other garages in the area such as the Promenade.
